Tuesday Tubin’: The 2008 ICCA Finalists
By Mike Chin on Apr 15, 2008 in Featured, News, Tuesday Tubin'
Each Tuesday, The A Cappella Blog presents a link to a collegiate a cappella performance, or related material, that we recommend to you.
In recognition of this weekend’s ICCA Finals, this week, we present to you six times the content, as we give you one video from each of this Saturday’s finalists.
Please note that we tried not to include video from songs that we expect groups to actually perform in New York this weekend, so the material will remain fresh to those folks who hate spoilers, and for the sake of the performers.
The Western Europe Champions, Oxford University Out of the Blue perform The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me”
The South Champions, Florida State University All-Night Yahtzee perform Coldplay’s “The Scientist”
The Midwest Champions, Northwestern University Purple Haze perform The Eagles’ “Desperado”
The West Champions, The University of Southern California SoCal VoCals perform Melissa Etheridge’s “I’m The Only One”
The Northeast Champions, The New York University N’Harmonics, perform Aerosmith’s “Janie’s Got a Gun”
The Mid-Atlantic Chamions, Ithaca College Ithacapella, perform Ben Folds’s “Army”
I feel as though I should point out that All-Night Yahtzee’s video (Scientist) was from 2004-05. I think it is clear that the group has improved quite a bit since then!!!
