Newsline: A cappella in HBO documentary; Spring Sing

Thanks to an ACB reader for sharing the following bits of news:
-This week, HBO began airing a series of documentaries centered Alzheimer’s Disease. The first documentary included the story of Woody Geist, a member of a Detroit professional group known as The Grunyons. You can visit The Grunyons’ official site here and check out the documentary, including a clip of Woody performing with the group, below at around the 49 minute mark.
-The 52nd annual spring festival of the American A Cappella Alliance concluded last weekend at the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park in Chicago, IL. The event included performances from three-time winner of the Midwest Harmony Sweeps, Chicago Voice Exchange, the award-winning Arbors, and Chicago women’s ensemble Route 66. A highlight of the show came in a performance by a group known as These Boys, which you can check out below:
